Hi Everyone,
It was a short but busy week. Here are a few of the things we worked on:
Reading - We continued reading with our groups. Practicing reading out loud and remembering what we are reading. In our other groups we worked on making words, RazKids and our spelling words.
Writing - We continued talking about instructional writing by using complete sentences and transition words.
Math - We are keeping track of a few countries Olympic medal count. After the Olympics we will create a pictograph and bar graph showing the final results.
Science - We talked about our hot and cold unit. We looked at describing how heating and cooling materials can often change them: melting, freezing, cooking, and burning.
Social Studies - We finished up learning about Saskatoon and the Ukrainians that live there!
