Here is what we did this week:
Reading - In our reading groups this week we worked on figuring out what the hidden word was. The letters were all scrambled up like this - setgoimhn - the hidden word was - something. We also practiced reading out loud in our small groups.
Writing - We practiced our instructional writing by making a "How to be a good Friend" poster.
Math - We worked on our very own pictograph.
Science - We practiced reading thermometers that were placed throughout the school. We started to talk about thermostats. They are to find out how their home stays at the temperature it is set at.
Social Studies - We learned the Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba are all prairie provinces. We also learned that the prairies are mostly flat with rolling hills and rich soil.
