Here are a few things we did this week:
Reading - We continued to practice our reading comprehension by answering questions about stories that we have read. In our literacy groups we practiced our spelling words, completed a word search with exploring liquids words on it, and put our spelling words in alphabetical order.
Writing - We wrote our final instructional writing. Our topic was, How to Get Ready for Bed. Next, we will be working on climbing stories.
Math - We continued to work on double digit addition and subtraction. We are learning how to regroup and borrow when. We also talked about tips on how to measure things with using a non-standard measuring tool.
Science - We have talked a lot about water in our world and just how important fresh water is to us. We have talked a bit about what we can do to help keep our water clean.
Social Studies - We continue to learn about our own community of Calgary.
